The provincial government of Eastern Samar, led by Gov. RV Evardone, turned over financial assistance to the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Eastern Samar Council through Alvin Jocosol, BSP Eastern Samar Council scout executive, to support its operations and upcoming activities.
The assistance was extended in response to the financial constraints faced by the council, particularly for its hosting of the regional committee meeting. Part of the fund will be allocated for the procurement of office equipment to improve the council’s administrative capacity.
Also present during the turnover was BSP Eastern Samar Council President Nelson F. Cortez.
Cortez is also the newly designated regional council representative of Eastern Visayas under the Boy Scouts of the Philippines.
The provincial government reiterated its support for programs that promote youth development and leadership through continued assistance to organizations such as the Boy Scouts. (RCS-GBP)
