Eastern Samar Gov. RV Evardone received two patient transport vehicles (PTVs) and a lotto revenue check from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) during a turnover ceremony today, June 25, 2026, at Toyota Mabolo, Mabolo, Cebu City.
This initiative is under the PCSO’s Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program—a key government initiative aimed at strengthening local healthcare systems and emergency medical response capabilities, particularly in geographically isolated and disadvantaged communities.
Eastern Samar was among 10 beneficiary provinces in the Visayas, alongside Cebu, Bohol, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Samar, Northern Samar, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor, that received the 18 units of PTVs worth ₱38.502 million from PCSO.
Alongside the vehicles, Eastern Samar also received its share from the PCSO’s lotto revenues covering the period July to December 2025, amounting to ₱276,826.
These funds are intended to support the provincial government in financing programs and services for its constituents.
