Gov. RV Evardone led the flag-raising ceremony for the first Monday of the month at the Capitol grounds.
During his message, Gov. Evardone announced plans to implement a wellness break every other week for personnel of the provincial government, but he said his office is still awaiting a formal proposal from the employees’ union before finalizing the details.
The governor said the target is to roll out the wellness break within the month of August.
He commended the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office for its well-choreographed performance following the ceremony.
He also reminded employees of the upcoming inter-agency night, which will be held in observance of the Borongan City fiesta.
“Happy first week of the month and happy August,” Gov. Evardone greeted the employees as he ended his message. (RCS-JDM)
