PSA Eastern Samar mobilizes for 2027 Community-Based Monitoring System rollout

As part of establishing data-driven governance and localized poverty reduction, the Provincial Community-Based Monitoring System Coordinating Board (PCCB) officially convened, yesterday June 2, 2026 at the PGO New Conference Room to lay the groundwork for the upcoming May 2027 CBMS nationwide rollout.
CBMS is designed as an immersive tool for deep multidimensional poverty analysis.
By gathering data straight from the grassroots, the system empowers local government units (LGUs) and national government agencies (NGAs) with evidence-based planning to target the root causes of vulnerabilities, optimize resource allocation ensuring funds go where they are needed most, and create targeted social protection programs that accurately identify the poorest and most marginalized households.
All statistical activities involved in this rollout are strictly covered and vetted under the Statistical Survey Review and Clearance System (SSRCS) to guarantee institutional quality and adherence to national standards
Chaired by Gov. RV Evardone and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) as co-chair, the board brings together key provincial offices to streamline logistics, security, and data integration which includes several department Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Provincial Engineering Office (PEO), Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Provincial Information Office (PIO), Provincial Assessor’s Office, Provincial Budget Office, Provincial Health Office, Provincial Population Office, Public Order and Safety Office, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Office
