Eastern Samar Gov. RV Evardone joined “PAG-ATAMAN 2026: Peacebuilding through Accountable Governance, Action, Transparency, Advocacy, Multi-sectoral Collaboration, and Nation-building” on August 6, 2026, in Tacloban City.
The event served as a regional policy dialogue and executive learning forum for local chief executives across the region.
The forum aimed to strengthen local leadership by equipping local chief executives with policy updates, strategic insights, and dialogue opportunities on the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s priority peacebuilding and public safety initiatives.
It also sought to reinforce national-local convergence and deepen partnerships toward building safer, peaceful, resilient, and development-oriented communities.
Gov. Evardone was welcomed by DILG Region VIII Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe, alongside Eastern Samar DILG Provincial Director Engr. Jesus Jeremy D. Bagares and other provincial directors.
The forum was expected to have 149 participants, including governors or vice governors, and mayors or vice mayors from across Eastern Visayas, along with DILG provincial directors and cluster heads. (RCS-JDM)
