Eastern Samar has taken a step toward strengthening its anti-drug campaign with the rollout of the Anti-Drug Abuse Council-Reporting System (ADAC-RS), becoming the first province to formally request its implementation.
The activity, led by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Eastern Samar in partnership with the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), gathered city/municipal local government operations officers, Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) focal persons, and other stakeholders at the provincial level.
Provincial ADAC Focal Person Engr. Joselito B. Mutya, along with PADAC and MLGOO representatives, joined the session aimed at strengthening data management and reporting systems on drug-related cases.
Highlighting the activity was the presentation and demonstration of the ADAC-RS modules by Jeremy A. Adan, Statistician I of the DDB. The system serves as a centralized platform for recording and monitoring data on Persons Who Use Drugs (PWUDs), supporting evidence-based policies and interventions at the local level.
Participants were introduced to new features of the system, including offline data encoding, correction requests, and data-sharing capabilities—enhancements expected to improve both accessibility and accuracy of reports, especially in areas with limited internet connectivity.
A hands-on training followed, where authorized LGU encoders were guided through actual data input procedures. The session allowed participants to familiarize themselves with encoding PWUD information, screening, and assessment processes within the system.
By the end of the rollout, 18 ADAC MLGOO accounts had been successfully registered, expanding the pool of trained personnel capable of managing and updating the province’s anti-drug database.
