The fun run gathered Eastern Samareños from various sectors—students, employees, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts—all showing their support and pride for the province’s milestone celebration.
Gov. RV Evardone personally participated in the activity, together with members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan—Board Member Timmy Campomanes and BM Atty. PJ Evardone, and Provincial Administrator Nelson Cortez—who all showed leadership by example and solidarity with the people of Eastern Samar.
Runners for the 21-kilometer category were the first to take off after receiving the go signal at around 5 a.m., followed by the 10-kilometer runners, then the 5-kilometer, and finally the 3-kilometer runners, completing the exciting lineup of race categories.
Beyond promoting physical fitness, the fun run served as a symbol of unity and community spirit among Eastern Samareños, highlighting discipline, determination, and the collective pride of the people of Eastern Samar.
The celebration of the province’s 60th founding anniversary continues with various activities, including sports events, cultural shows, and public service programs—reflecting the enduring progress, cooperation, and resilience of Eastern Samareños. (KDA-JDM)
