Showcasing of the best practices from the different tourism areas and development was led by RD Karen Santiago Tiopes of Region 8, RD Herbie Aguas of Region 5 and RD Joseph Francisco Ortega of Region 1 and United Philippine Surfing Association CFO Mark Edward Velasco to make sure the upcoming 2nd Surf Summit and Competition in Borongan, be an opportunity to promote youth development and sustainable tourism.
Spearheaded by the Borongan City Mayor Jose Ivan Dayan Agda shared that they are committed to develop the city by maximizing all the resources and marking the whole province as a surfing site with the cooperation and full support of the Gov. Ben P. Evardone that was represented by the Provincial Tourism Officer Neil Alejandro Pinarok. The meeting was presided by Borongan City Information Officer Rupert Ambil and attended by the different local surfers of region 8.
